The latest release of Funky Expenses (v1.2.2) includes a feature which allows other applications to post entries in users expenses accounts (with their permission of course!). Developers can see details of the API here, and read about using the API in BistroMath author Berhard Suters blog here.

AndAppStore is now offering application hosting. This means that developers do not need to have their own application hosting in place in order to list their applications at AndAppStore.

As of today Android developers can include screen shots in their application listings at AndAppStore. This will help users get a better understanding of what to expect from an application before they download it.

AndAppStore has been updated to allow developers to list purchasable items associated with their apps. Developers can list extra levels, T-shirts, or even signed ‘photos of the developers if they want to. Given the recent news of Google pulling “tethering” applications from Android Market we would like to reassure Android developers and users that AndAppStore will continue to list tethering applications and we are not subject to the carrier restrictions which may be the cause of Googles actions.

AndAppStore has been updated to allow developers to list pre-release versions of Android applications and mark them as alpha, beta, or release candidate quality. Users can then log in, select the “Pre-release apps” from the menu on the right and help developers improve the applications before they’re released into the wild.
