Funky Expenses opens door to other apps.

The latest release of Funky Expenses (v1.2.2) includes a feature which allows other applications to post entries in users expenses accounts (with their permission of course!). Developers can see details of the API here, and read about using the API in BistroMath author Berhard Suters blog here.

AndAppStore Now Hosting Applications

AndAppStore is now offering application hosting. This means that developers do not need to have their own application hosting in place in order to list their applications at AndAppStore.

New Funky Expenses Features

Funky Expenses has been updated to allow users to file their expenses under categories and to allow users to backup and restore their accounts using a memory card.

AndAppStore adds screen shots to listings

AndAppStore Launches “Purchasable Extras”

AndAppStore has been updated to allow developers to list purchasable items associated with their apps. Developers can list extra levels, T-shirts, or even signed ‘photos of the developers if they want to. All payments go directly to the developers PayPal account so the only deductions are those made by PayPal.  For more information see http://andappstore.com/AndroidPhoneApplications/purchasables.jsp

Tethered Android Apps

Given the recent news of Google pulling “tethering” applications from Android Market we would like to reassure Android developers and users that AndAppStore will continue to list tethering applications and we are not subject to the carrier restrictions which may be the cause of Googles actions.

AndAppStore supports pre-release apps

AndAppStore has been updated to allow developers to list pre-release versions of Android applications and mark them as alpha, beta, or release candidate quality. Users can then log in, select the “Pre-release apps” from the menu on the right and help developers improve the applications before they’re released into the wild.

Funky Expenses now available

Funky Android have released an expenses tracker for Android devices called Funky Expenses. Funky Expenses is designed to be quick and simple to use and can be downloaded it from AndAppStore and Google Market.
