Funky Android Ltd. have been involved in the Android community since late 2008 and have extensive knowledge of both the technical aspects of the Android and the communities surrounding it. In 2011 the company acquired Enterprise Data Safe Ltd., who developed and sold the Enterprise Password Safe, to expand our skill base and the products range.

Since our incorporation in late 2008 we have worked on a variety of projects with OEMs, hardware distributors, and other companies to develop solutions to meet their requirements. Our expertise covers both the server and client environments allowing us to create systems which look at the whole picture as opposed to focusing on one part of it. In one of most successful projects we helped Touchnote take their Android application from being phone-orientated to being phone and tablet friendly. We then worked with the some of Android team at Google to get the application featured in Android Market which helped to contribute to the hundreds of thousands of downloads the application received in the following months.

One of our most successful in-house Android projects was AndAppStore which was built from nothing into a popular application directory which offered a web interface and shipped as part of the firmware of several Android devices. In late 2010 we sold AndAppStore to a major international corporation to allow it to continue to grow beyond where our in-house resources could take it.

Our other in-house projects include Funky Expenses and PortaPayments which are available on Google’s Android Market. Both applications have several thousand downloads and an average rating of 4 stars. Funky Expenses has over 77% of its ratings as 4 stars and above, with over 50% being the top 5 star rating. PortaPayments has 70% of its ratings at 4 stars and above.

Our Enterprise Password Safe password management product is in use by companies around the globe in companies of all sizes, and has become a core part of many companies operational procedures over the last nine years. It’s actively developed and Funky Android have made a significant investment in ensuring its continued improvement.
